Round 6 – Lydden Hill Circuit – Drew8th September 2016
After an overwhelming weekend the team are suffering from a major rallycross hangover today!
Dave secured overall 2nd position overall and gained his best result this season so far. He commented ” I am extremely pleased with how the car is coming along, being newly built this year and my first year ever competing in it the progress we are making is more than satisfactory” This result moves Dave into 3rd position in the overall MSA British Rallycross Championship standings.
Paige had no choice but to settle for 5th position due to possible engine or electrical issues as the car lost power throughout the final, she commented ” I am rather disappointed with the overall result, i had a great start and came out in front of Lynchy after he took his joker, i made a slight mistake through the chicane over the finish line point and dropped a place, from their the car began to loose power on and off and we lost several more places”. After Round 6 Paige still stands comfortably in 2nd position in the Supernational Championship standings.
Drew finished her final in 7th place at Lydden Hill,
she had a mixture of results throughout the day but the best of all had to be Q3 where she secured her first ever win in the Suzuki Swift Championship. Up to 21 drivers have competed in this class this year and Drew has moved up into 5th position after a strong days racing! She commented ” The day has been full of ups and downs, i am pleased with the progress i am making now, after the roll in Belgium i lost some confidence but after a few races and taking my first win in this class i think i’ve definatley got some back, really looking forward to the next round where i hope i can take more race wins and move further up in the standings”.
